Glenorchy has played Ulvestone at Pontville, and Northern Bombers at Aurora and Glenorchy has crushed both. Last weekend the Magpies smacked the Robins by 220 points with Michael Darcy on fire up forward, with a half experienced line up it was a good day out for the Maggies, Saturday the Magpies thumped the Bombers, who in the 2nd half played their Under 18s, but the Magpies comes home with a 150 point win.
Clarence demolished Heidelberg Tigers last weekend, 210 points at North Hobart Oval, the battle of the premiers seemed to prove that the Roos are the superior at least in the pre-season, it was not a good day for the Tigers, former AFL stars Sinclair and Murphy played but weren't really needed in the end.
Devonport yesterday beat the Bulldogs, by 4 goals, South Launceston will be happy with the competitive nature of their side the Magpies will lose Vincent Ponsonby for the season with a knee injury, Talk Footy wishes him a very speedy recovery.
South Launceston played and crushed Bridgenorth last weekend, not that it was ever in doubt the differences in the leagues and all.
Burnie who have had their off field woes last week beat NTFL coastal rivals Wynyard by 27 points.
