FORM: Hobart pulled off its best win in the TSL last round by storming over North Hobart in the last quarter to jump into the top six for the first time ever. A severely inexperienced Lauderdale gave it its best shot against Devonport last week but after a brave start could not match the Northern Magpies size on way to its seventh loss in eight rounds.
BURNING QUESTION: Will it be the Hobart of old which falls into bad habits when favoured to win? Instead of showing glimpses of form and competitiveness, can Lauderdale string a four quarter effort together?
KEY: Hobart has got ahead of itself in the past and has been quickly brought back to earth with a thud – notably in round seven where the Tigers were pumped at home by Devonport after back to back wins. So if Hobart can keep its head in the present, should record its fifth win of the season.
WHO WILL WIN AND WHY: Hobart at the TCA is always a tough challenge for any visitor but even more so for the lightly framed Southern Bombers. Even with the return of former captain, onballer Marcus Fitze, equal leading goal-kicker Paul Hudson and Mariner Jacob Gillbee, the tight confines of the TCA Ground will make it tough work for the visitors.
TIP: Hobart by 24 points.
