PREVIEW
Glenorchy return to KGV Oval this week to battle their Northern Magpie rivals Devonport, Glenorchy are reeling after a 27-point loss last weekend to Hobart. It's the Magpies' second loss in a row after first losing to North Hobart. Their opponents Devonport is sitting on the one win this season, and make the road trip to Glenorchy after getting completely out played by Lauderdale and losing by 73-points.
Last weekend the Magpies kicked an amazing 2.10 in the first quarter allowing the Tigers to pounce and kick season goals to two in the second quarter. Like their Magpie counterparts Collingwood at Etihad Stadium, who also were kicking badly, and allowed the Crows to skip out to a lead. Glenorchy needed a big second half comeback. Hobart were able to withstand the Glenorchy comeback in the third quarter to walk away with the win.
It was the Jamie Di Ienno show again for Lauderdale against Devonport, their seven goal to two second quarter put the game out of the reach of Devonport and they cruised to a massive 73-point win. Philip Crowden was the Magpies only saving grace booting four goals against a rampaging Lauderdale side.
The Akerless Glenorchy welcome back former Devonport speedster Rhys Mott inside the side, he missed last week with a thigh strain. This is the first time since the start of the new Tasmanian State League that the Northern Magpies travel south to KGV Oval. Their last outing in the South was a thumping at the hands of Hobart.
The inexperienced Devonport side with their mass exodus during the Summer are clearly in for a hard day at the office, some are tipping the Southern Magpies to play themselves back into form this weekend.

PLAYERS TO WATCH
Clinton French (Glenorchy) – Kicked the three goals last weekend for the Pies in their loss to the Tigers, he's getting better each weekend.
Philip Crowden (Devonport) – Booted four goals in the Magpies' defeat to the Bombers last weekend, is he the guy the help Rodman out up forward?
QUESTION MARKS
Are Glenorchy the real deal? After starting the season in a blaze of glory the Pies have been outclassed twice in as many rounds.
Can Devonport coach Glen Lutwyche survive the season? We’ve already seen Dale Chugg fall on his sword.
WILL WIN AND WHY
It's a no brainer, the Southern Magpies have more class across the field, despite not having Akermanis again this weekend. Rhys Mott back in the side, and Ben Reynolds facing off against his former side as well they will hope to bring home the four points. People have started to say "No Aker, no Glenorchy" after the loss against Hobart, but the Pies were with Aker when they lost to North Hobart.
Devonport have the chance to make a statement and continue the Glenorchy woes, but they also have the chance to really play this side back into form and have them start to get themselves back on track. After their two loses they are 2 games behind the Blues in 2nd, and have arch rivals hot on their heals to take 2nd. This game has come at a good time for the Magpies.
PREDICTION
Glenorchy by 70-points
