PREVIEW
Mixed fortunes for both sides last weekend, Burnie was given a reality check by ladder leaders Launceston to the tune of 54-points. Whereas Hobart managed to again upset Glenorchy at the TCA Ground by 27-points. The Dockers are improving each week under new coach Brent Plant, but last weekend they were at Windsor Park against the dangerous Brian Finch.
Finch booted eight against the Dockers, the surprise of the day was when Gary Shipton usually a backman found his way to half forward, where he too joined in the goal kicking kicking a lazy four himself and was named best afield against the Dockers.
Down South the Tigers were greeted by a wounded Magpies side who too had the weekend off during the split round and the Tigers managed to kick the straighter as Glenorchy booted 2.10. A big second quarter saw the Tigers looking to seal a big win again, against the Magpies, but the Magpies came back, and looked a chance to steal it, but the Tigers held on. Goninon and Hall continued their strong start this season sharing a lazy four goals each.
Todd Willing who was heavily criticised last season was able to dominate the Magpies in the ruck, both sides are only separated by the four points, the Tigers are on 2 wins, the Dockers are on 3 and if the Dockers score the points they could be a step closer to getting back into the top five.
Should Hobart win they can close the gap on those in the five and build towards their first finals appearance in the brand new TSL competition. It's going to be hard for the Hobart boys, they are on their way to the west coast to tackle a Burnie side with some real strong men.

PLAYERS TO WATCH
Kade Munday (Burnie) Was one of the bests for the Dockers last weekend against a tough Launceston side, named in the pocket this week in a very strong forward line the Dockers will hope to see him feast on any crumbs that come his way if Laycock cannot land himself some marks.
Aaron Hall (Hobart) Been one of the stars for the Tigers this season, as has Goninon, and others, the wealth of young players the Tigers have has them licking their lips for the future. Four goals again last weekend alongside Goninon, the Tigers will hope this pair can team up again and put the game beyond the Dockers. Along with the improving Todd Willing they have become vital players for this Hobart side.
QUESTION MARKS
The improving Dockers are bouncing back well from the mass exodus they had last season, they were close to sneaking into the six last season, can they finally break through for a September berth?
Hobart are flying under the radar, and they're slowly starting to ascend the ladder, the fade-outs are what's worrying most, can they with the win behind them against Glenorchy ride that into September?
WILL WIN AND WHY
Who wants to be a punter when you get a game like this one? Two sides with good young players, a bit of experience there, and looking at playing September. The Tigers are on cloud nine after beating the Magpies last weekend, when the Magpies fought back some Tigers fans would have got a bit nervous after the last time they battled the Magpies.
Burnie weren't entirely disgraced against Launceston, they were belted, but they had patches of goodness that has a fan Dockers fans maybe thinking they could be a chance to play finals. But what does it say for this clash? Hobart, a big win last weekend, the Dockers a big loss, neither should be underestimated, but the Dockers with Whish-Wilson, Lee, Laycock, and Munday should just get over the line in a close one.
If the scores are close going into the last quarter the Tigers might be a chance, but home ground advantage should give the Dockers the edge and the points.
PREDICTION
Burnie by 10-points.
