PREVIEW
It doesn't even seem possible, but South Launceston’'s form is getting even worse, demonstrated by it's embarrassing 150-point hiding by Launceston last round. North Launceston’s is only marginally better. Having won its first two games, including a round one win over the Bulldogs, North Launceston has been beaten easily in its past three encounters by top five teams.
South Launceston has parted ways with their current coach former North Launceston great Dale Chugg, and now have injured ruckman Mitch Hills as their coach for now, North Launceston's season seems to be sinking away, they have started well in recent seasons but then they seem to blow it later in the season. This season is only 6 games old and we've already lost one coach, and North Launceston are looking like a sinking ship again.
North Launceston coach Jeff Dunne would be in a relaxed mood this weekend, as his side gets to face a South Launceston team that appears to be a fixture on the bottom of the ladder a team that probably has to rely on fluke wins to even get a win. Cross-town rivals are battling it out on Saturday, a South Launceston win would mean so much to the side, it may give them the confidence they need. While a loss to North Launceston could see their season sucked down the sink-hole yet again.

PLAYERS TO WATCH
Mitch Thorp (South Launceston) - He was the best of a bad lot against the Blues, he has the experience the Doggies need now that ruckman Mitch Hills has been ruled out with injury, but he's not the current coach, Thorp on field will need to help lead the Doggies to a win if there is any chance of a win here for the Doggies.
Darren Crawford (North Launceston) - Crawford provides the only real X factor on either side. Against Glenorchy he started in the midfield before pushing forward. Playing on-ball can get him in the game early but it is near the goals he does the most danger. Crawford has 11 goals so far this season and will be a hard match up for the Bulldogs with his speed and over head marking strength.
QUESTION MARKS
South Launceston parted company with coach Dale Chugg mid-week, installing 24-year-old captain Mitch Hills as the interim; will the new coach inspire the Bulldogs?
Is just another season of mid-table mediocrity for North Launceston, much like the Northern Bombers first two TSL seasons?
WILL WIN AND WHY
Changing coaches at South Launceston is akin to rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. It’s form has been just diabolical and while the Bulldogs get their four Mariners back, the loss of captain Mitch Hills to injury leaves another big hole – and the Northern Bombers love nothing more than beating up on weaker teams. North Launceston might have few top class players to mix it with the big boys, but in Shane Wager, Paul O’'Shea, Crawford and Allan O'’Sign has enough to dispose of the Doggies.
PREDICTION
North Launceston by 70-points
