PREVIEW
Glenorchy suffered it's very first loss for 2011 against North Hobart last round being outplayed by North Hobart who went on to win by 35-points. Hobart managed to win it's very first game for 2011 hammering a hopeless Devonport side by 92-points at the TCA Ground. This season Hobart could have won a few of their games, their fade-outs have cost them dearly, back in Round 1 they held the Magpies for 3 Quarters before the floodgates opened and they were blown away.
Glenorchy apart from last weekend have played good football, their fitness has been their strong point and they have made teams suffer on the scoreboard. But against North Hobart they weren't even in the game, their bad kicking, their poor discipline it feed the Demons and they ran away with it.
The Akermanis Show is not going to be at the TCA Ground, he's off playing in Queensland, so the Magpies are going to go into battle without their star recruit but their other star recruits are going to be in the side. the Magpies will hope that they will be firing on all cylinders to make up for their North Hobart loss.
Both sides are coming off a week off with an extra days rest a piece so at least that's one even part of this weekend for the sides. It should be a good encounter, look for the Tigers to be full of confidence.

PLAYERS TO WATCH
Aaron Hall (Hobart) He has been a star this season for the Tigers, much like Jaye Bowden he has been able to burst through for his side and kick much needed goals, and has been vital part of the Hobart line-up. He kicked a lazy 7 against Devonport last weekend.
Jaye Bowden (Glenorchy) The Magpies' co-Captain has been in superb form again this season, he has kicked 15 goals so far this season and has really lead the team well. He has played mainly up forward, and has duly repaid the confidence the Magpies have had in him.
QUESTION MARKS
How will Glenorchy respond to its first loss of the season?
Will Hobart's grit and determination be enough to make up for its lack of out and out class against the top five teams?
WILL WIN AND WHY
The Split Round could not have come at a better time for Glenorchy, the Magpies had a huge pre-season and started off the season on fire but were tired and didn't look like the strong side that they have been this season. They were never in the hunt against North Hobart, and now after the rest they are going to be refreshed. They are clearly going to miss boom recruit Jason Akermanis, but they have much more quality left in the side in Bowden, Bowring, Reynolds, Mott, Cox, and Matthews. They have other match-winners as well, and they should really be too strong for the Tigers.
Though the Magpies cannot take the Tigers too lightly, they are battling them at the TCA Ground again, in a fixture that coach Howard has attacked AFL Tasmania over and the Tigers can exploit the Magpies on this ground. But this is a game that Glenorchy themselves can only lose they should however win.
PREDICTION
Glenorchy by 30-points
