PREVIEW
The battle of the winless teams Devonport and South Launceston at Devonport could help set up one of these teams' season. The Magpies struggle from game to game, with a percentage of just 28 that seems them on the bottom of the TSL ladder. The northern Magpies are unrecognisable from last seasons Grand Final side due to their exodus from last season. South Launcestons deplorable form is vastly superior to that of Devonports, the Bulldogs put on a good showing two weeks ago against Burnie. But last week they were back at their worst against Lauderdale, losing by 50 points to the Southern Bombers.
The young Bulldogs aren't exactly bristling with fire power, but they have a lot of talent in Thorp, Hills, Dylan Riley, Michael Muscka and Jay Blackberry. Mitch Hills has been in outstanding form, and has been named best on ground for them in all 3 games this season.
He'll be battling the bigger and less agile ruckman in Clint Mathews from Devonport, in a matchup that could see Hills help set up the Dogs' game. The Magpies have gotten the better of the Bulldogs over the journey, now the Magpies see themselves in trouble, financially, mentally, and it could become more psychical as the season goes on.

PLAYERS TO WATCH
Clint Matthews (Devonport) – The ruck battle is going to be an interesting one Mathews is going to have rely on his size advantage to get one over Hills in this game. It's a dual that could really set up the game for both sides. If Matthews wins in the ruck, the Magpies can get more of the ball, conversely if he loses, the Dogs can.
Mitch Hills (South Launceston) - Mitch Hills has been in outstanding form, named in the best for the Doggies all three games. If he can have better of the bigger but less agile Clint Matthews in the ruck, and get the ball to his midfield’s advantage at the stoppages and around the ground, the Dogs would be well on the way to a win.
QUESTION MARKS
The Magpies have been struggling all season, they haven't won a game, and have been hammered in every game, they come up against a South Launceston side that are coming off a 50 point loss, can this be the start for the Magpies?
South Launceston too are winless, like Devonport but managed to play well against a Burnie side that tested Clarence for Three Quarters, South Launceston managed to get a win over the Magpies in the past, can they do it again? Or are they going back down to the bottom of the ladder?
WILL WIN AND WHY
Both sides have been far from impressive to date this season, South Launceston had shown a little against the Burnie Dockers and could have come away with the points. Devonport haven't been really in the hunt at all since the season began, and every week it looks like a tough ask to see them even get close to winning a game this season.
The Doggies while being young have added the Mitch Thorp to their line-up and already having kept players there that have been their best of the years, it should lead them to a win over the Magpies, and seeing them remaining down on the bottom of the ladder. The Dogs are hoping that this season is the year they stay away from the bottom of the ladder, for the first time since the TSL re-started.
PREDICTION
South Launceston by 28 points
