SUMMARY

The Dockers coming into the season had so many issues, players leaving, a club in turmoil most teams expected the Dockers to be down the bottom and struggling, fast forward to the season and the Dockers are 2-1 after 3 round and are facing Glenorchy who are struggling with just the 1 win from 3 games, and a surprise loss to Lauderdale last week at home. Glenorchy have some issues, injuries and players not being there Mark Corbett another player that won't be thee for the Magpies he has gone on his way. The Magpies blooded new recruit Trad Duggan into the side against the Bombers, and will see him again this week.

The last time these two meet was early last season at KGV Oval, it was their only encounter and the Magpies and Dockers put on a great game for ABC Game of The Day on ABC Television, the Dockers walked away with the points in a very evenly close game, that came down to the wire, fast forward and now both sides have their own issues, the Dockers have had a lightning start but the Magpies are struggling. It's a game that can go either way and Glenorchy fans are hoping that they can finally get out of their current form slump and woes to tackle the tough task of traveling to West Park.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Brentyn Milverton (Burnie) – Been in gear form since crossing over from Devonport, a player that has looked to show the Docker faithful that their mass exodus over summer has a massive upside and that's the recruitment of Milverton.

Jonathon Bowring (Glenorchy) – There are so many players that are needed for the Magpies this week, it was tough to pick one, but I have looked at Bowring for his goalkicking prowess in the Glenorchy forward structure he has the experience on his side and has been kicking a few goals for the Pies this season, booted 4 last weekend against the Bombers. The Magpies are going to need him, Hunt, and a few others to step up in this must win for the Maggies.

QUESTION MARKS

The Dockers have been on a run winning both their first two games, but last week North Launceston took the game up to them and walked away with a big win against them, will this have a big effect on how the Dockers do this week? With the Magpies having some concerns of their own, are the Dockers going to fall into a trap against them?

Glenorchy have lost a few players, and lost another with Corbett going overseas, can the Magpies find an adequate replacement for the tough midfielder? The Magpies have a good young line up with a few young inexperienced players, can the young Magpies turn this around and bring their season back on track?

WHO WILL WIN AND WHY

Burnie are in fine form, and the Magpies are suffering a few injuries and a few players are just not going to be there this season, a minor hiccup last weekend saw the Dockers beaten by 36 points against a dangerous North Launceston, the Magpies had a blip last week as well again aginst a team called the Bombers in Lauderdale who shocked a lot of footy pundits by beating the Magpies last weekend and now with another loss for the Magpies in their midield it's going to be tough for them this week, they haven't had the form that they would have liked in a couple of their games this season.

And with the loss to Lauderdale last week, going 1-3 after the first four weeks of the season is going to see the Magpies needing to bounce back in a big way should they lose this game, it's a bit of a line ball decision on them they are still a good side while missing a lot of their talented players, and they have a lot of games to go in this season to bonce back and I expected them to bounce back but they are not going to contain the Dockers this week, the Dockers have a lot to prove this season, and they want to come out and have a big game after their loss to the Bombers, putting the troubles of the past behind them the comeback from the Dockers is going to go on for another week.

Some are expecting the Dockers to trounce the Magpies, I think that the Magpies have enough talent there to make sure this does not happen, if they can feed their forwards well and kick straight, who knows? The Magpies could see themselves bouncing back with their backs against the wall right now. This could be a very good time to see what the young Magpies are made of last season they had a few loses, and bounced back with a massive second half of the season, getting some players back later in the season can see it happen again.
