Launceston vs North Launceston 11:30am
PREVIEW
Cross-town rivals set to do battle yet again, when North Launceston travel to Windsor Park again to battle the Blues on Good Friday. Both sides are currently undefeated, and both sides easily disposed of Devonport in different rounds as well. Launceston saw off the challenge by North Hobart last week, while North Launceston easily accounted for Devonport. New coach Jeff Dunne gets his first taste of the challenges of the Tasmanian State League, as North Launceston has not yet really been challenged. They had South Launceston in Round 1 and easily took care of them, and then the Devonport game wasn't at all challenging.
Launceston got challenged most of the day by the Demons, however they started to pull away in the Third Quarter and it looked like they were going to blow the Demons away. Brian Finch was in Hudson Medal Form last weekend booting 9 goals. Nathan O'Donoghue made a successful return to the Blues line-up kicking 3 goals, and also managing to drift down back as well.
For the Bombers Darren Crawford and Allan O'Sign managed 4 goals, the Blues have had the best of the Bombers over their last few games here in the TSL. North Launceston has pushed them but have been unable to get the points, the Blues are hopeful of starting to show the rest of the state that they are a team to be feared something they have failed to do in the last two season. North Launceston used to be the team to fear in the old TFL days, but now they are making up numbers, who will get the points? Both sides have the players to win, but who can get over the line?

PLAYERS TO WATCH
Brian Finch (Launceston) – The reigning Hudson Medallist dominated the Demons' defence, in two quarters he brought up 7 goals, and finished with 9 all up last weekend. If the Bombers aren't careful the big power forward might dominate them too. When the Blues needed someone to step up when they lost Adam Derbyshire Finch was that man, and he has not looked back.
Darren Crawford (North Launceston) – Cawf booted 4 against the Northern Magpies, and has always been a player that can find the bal, the small forward however has always had the yips in front of goal. He's a good mark, he's able to track the ball down himself, but when it comes to kicking for goal, his accuracy is sometimes lacking.
QUESTION MARKS
Can the Blues keep their good form going after a late scare from North Hobart? And will Brian Finch keep on kicking goals?
North Launceston have had two easy games at the start of the season, and now they are facing the Blues, will the easy games in the past cause the Bombers to lose? Can Darren Crawford kick a bag, and lead the Bombers to a win?
WILL WIN AND WHY
Launceston despite finding trouble to shrug off the Demons are starting to look like a dangerous side, it's hard to take the Devonport result too seriously, but the Blues were often much better then the Demons last weekend. They have Michael Sinclair, and Scott Stephens starting to get into the swing of things, Nathan O'Donoghue slotted back intro the side with ease. Sonny Whiting, and Tim Bristow were playing well. The Bombers are a goodlooking side, they have a lot of talent, but they aren't yet strong enough to beat their rivals.
If the Blues are going to be taken seriously as a team, they are going to need to start showing more, and this is their second minor test. The main threats for the flag are coming, but before they get there they are going to need to start taking the minor threats out. North Launceston are a side that played in the finals, they are a finals contender. The Blues want to be considered a flag threat, and this is the time to start to show it.
Brian Finch's nine goals helped sink the Demons last week, and he is starting to look very dangerous. The game can go either way, but the Bombers' defence is going to have their hands full. They have the Finch threat, and soon they have the O'Donoghue one, and let's not forget that Stephens is getting a lot of the ball now, Whiting can kick goals too.
