FORM: Consecutive losses to North Launceston and Clarence has North Hobart at the bottom end of the top six and looking far from threatening with the finals so close. Without a win since round six, South Launceston does not even understand the meaning of the word “form” now.
BURNING QUESTION: Can North Hobart gather any form and confidence with the finals so close, and will a win over the bottom side give it either? Can South Launceston take anything out of the 2010 season, apart from the wooden spoon?
THE KEY: Who would have thought after announcing his retirement in round eight, Robbie “The Wiz” Devine would now been named back in the seniors after a stint in the twos? Maybe it is a sign of desperation for the Demons, but it remains to be seen whether he can fit into a forward line with Paul Allison, Zeke Gardam and possibly Jesse Wells.
WHO WILL WIN AND WHY: North Hobart should win, and very comfortably. The Doggies season has been over for months, and there has been little yelp in the back half of the season. The loss of ruck duo Matthew Muir and Tim Peterson is a blow for the Demons, but it won’t hurt them this round.
TIP: North Hobart by 55 points.
