FORM: Hobart's season has been a car crash losing its past 10 games to plunge to ninth on the ladder. North Hobart suffered a 10-point loss to Glenorchy that puts its finals hopes in jeopardy.
BURNING QUESTION: There is no doubt Hobart lifts for North Hobart, can the Tigers ruin the Demons finals hopes with an upset win and lift their own disintegrating morale? Can North Hobart put the pressure of the finals race to one side and focus on defeating the Tigers this Sunday?
THE KEY: With so much focus on the Demons top three midfielders captain Ken Hall, Zane Murphy and Nathan Street many overlook fellow on-baller Ollie Di Venuto. Di Venuto played for the state last season and is a vital cog in the Demons running brigade. He can kick goals from the middle and break the lines with his hard running if he is not given the respect he deserves.
WHO WILL WIN AND WHY? This game could be much closer than many suspect. The two previous meetings this season has resulted in North Hobart victories, but only by seven and two points, and both having been forced to come from behind to snatch the win in the dying moments. But there is just too much riding on this for the Demons to drop. North’s midfield is far superior and in Zeke Gardam and Julian Dobosz, they have the two key forwards to do the damage.
TIP: North Hobart by 19 points.
