FORM: Clarence bounced back from its shock loss to Glenorchy with a very comfortable 85-point win over Hobart at Bellerive. Lauderdale took awhile to get going but eventually ran away from South Launceston for a 51-point win at Lauderdale.
BURNING QUESTION: Can Clarence centre half-forward Matthew Drury return to his best form so close to the finals after missing so much of the season with a broken leg? Can Lauderdale defeat Clarence for the first time in the TSL and lock in its maiden finals appearance?
THE KEY: Lauderdale's Robbie McManus could turn into the goal-kicking midfielder and match-winner the Bombers desperately need. Still only 18, he already has more than 30 games of senior experience and showed what he can do last week with a near on best on ground performance against the Doggies. But he needs to be able to produce his best against the best.
WHO WILL WIN AND WHY? Lauderdale has set itself for this game knowing what is at stake. If the Bombers were to knock off their Eastern Shore rival, they would be so close to sewing up a top five spot as well as giving them a massive boost in confidence and credibility. But the Roos love nothing more than upsetting a party and should prevail again. Cameron Thurley and Jackson O'Brien have been in scintillating form and Drury would be better for his first run back last week. The Roos edge in experience and class and their home ground advantage, should be enough.
TIP: Clarence by 32 points.
