FORM: Devonport was right in the contest last round against South Launceston at three quarter time but again was crushed in the last term to register its 11th straight loss and just about sew up its first TSL wooden spoon. It was another big challenge for North Launceston and again it fell well short, losing by 67 points to Burnie, its fourth loss in a row.
BURNING QUESTION: Can Devonport give one last yelp before this horror season closes? Can North Launceston pick up a huge win and make inroads into the percentage difference between itself and the other top five contenders?
THE KEY: In a season from hell, Devonport vice-captain Justin Rodman deserves some credit. In his first season in the TSL, Rodman has done just about everything except drive the team bus for the Magpies this year. He has been in the best 12 times from 15 games and kicked 21 goals.
WHO WILL WIN AND WHY? If North Launceston does not win this game, it will have no chance of making the finals. It is as simple as that. The Northern Bombers have too much class in Shane Wager, Darren Crawford, Bradley Cox-Goodyer and Michael Praciak to drop this match to the undermanned, inexperienced Magpie fledglings.
TIP: North Launceston by 67 points.
