FORM: Launceston's remains impeccable with 14 wins from 14 and an average winning margin of 82 points, including last round’s 64-point hiding of North Launceston. Hobart was blown away by Burnie at the TCA last round. Trailing by only three points early in the third term, the Tigers went down by 59-points, their eighth consecutive loss.
BURNING QUESTION: With top spot pretty much assured, can Launceston remain focussed and motivated for the remaining home and away season to keep its perfect record intact? With all the speculation of its future in the TSL dominating the media, can Hobart put the distractions aside and stay focused on its on-field performances?
THE KEY: Vice-captain Tim Bristow remains one of the unheralded stars for Launceston. The running machine has had a superb season for Launceston in the midfield, illustrated by him being named in the Blues best players in the past six games, including in the top three on four occasions.
WHO WILL WIN AND WHY? Windsor Park has been a slaughter field for visiting teams. Of the Blues seven home games so far, they have won five by more than 100 points. Hobart does not have the class, experience or depth to take the fight up to a Blues team containing Brian Finch, Sonny Whiting, Tim Bristow, Jesse Lonergan, Nathan O'Donoghue and Co. Even with the return of Hobart key forward Michael Cassidy from suspension, the Tigers should be another road kill for the Blues on way to the finals.
TIP: Launceston by 88 points.
