FORM: North Hobart did the unthinkable last round and dropped a game to previously last-placed Lauderdale. A game that could have elevated the Demons to third was let slipped without much fight. Hobart’s season appeared to be on the up after downing North Hobart in their last previous meeting, but has not won a game since, losing five on the trot.
BURNING QUESTION: Can North Hobart bounce back from such a deplorable performance last week? What has happened to Hobart since that great win over the Demons way back on May 22 when the courageous Tigers downed North Hobart under lights at Bellerive Oval?
THE KEY: Hobart has seriously missed Tassie Mariners Larry Owen and Jamie Clark and both are welcome additions after their state and school commitments. Owen will strengthen the Tigers defence while Clark can play down back or as a run with player through the midfield.
WHO WILL WIN AND WHY: The Demons have been up and down and all over the place, but Hobart’s form has only been heading south since that defeat of North Hobart back in round eight. A loss to North will spell season over for the Tigers, but even with the Demons missing Jesse Wells and Zac Mastrocola through injury, North should prevail through forwards Zeke Gardam and Paul Allison, and a midfield led by Ken Hall, Ollie Di Venuto and Matthew Creese.
TIP: North Hobart by 21 points
