FORM: Lauderdale got out of a jail with a one-point win over Hobart last week to stay outside the top five on percentage only. Glenorchy's horror form slump continues, smashed by 101 points by Launceston at Windsor Park. The Magpies have won only three of their past nine games yet remain in fourth spot.
BURNING QUESTION: Can Lauderdale move into the top five for the first time in the TSL with victory over Glenorchy? Can Glenorchy overcome its horrendous form slump and gain a much needed win?
THE KEY: Glenorchy co-captain Jaye Bowden was in scintillating form at the start of the season as was his team. He kicked 14 goals in that opening four rounds when Glenorchy was undefeated. But injury started to take its toll on his contribution and he was diagnosed with a broken foot after round eight. His return to take on the Bombers will be a huge fillip for the Magpies and he is classy enough to have an immediate impact.
WILL WIN AND WHY? Glenorchy just doesn't have the form or confidence to suggest victory over Lauderdale. The Magpies do have some big inclusions in Bowden, fellow co-captain Jon Bowring, Jake Cox, Clinton French and Mariners ruckman/key forward Ben Brown but Lauderdale also gets back key defenders Jake Siggins and Alex Hill. This is the most intriguing, important game of the round and the home ground advantage and form line points to a narrow home time win.
TIP: Lauderdale by 14 points.
