FORM: Devonport's annus horribilis continues on, with just one for the season and none for nine rounds, capped off with last round's 127-point thrashing by North Hobart. By contrast, Clarence rumbles in recording its ninth-straight win with a 10-goal win over North Launceston.
BURNING QUESTION: What can Devonport take out of this TSL season apart from the wooden spoon? With the result a mere formality, can Clarence get through unscathed on the injury front with the finals just around the corner?
THE KEY: If it is possible, Clarence's Cameron Thurley is getting better with age. Against North Launceston he booted seven goals to move to second on the TSL's goal-kicking list with 40 majors, and that's as playing at least half each game as a midfielder.
WHO WILL WIN AND WHY? It is impossible to come up with one argument on how Devonport will even get within 10-goals of Clarence, let alone win. This season is all about rebuilding for the northern Magpies and it is rebuilding from the very foundations. It is a long way back for Devonport.
TIP: Clarence by 92 points.
