FORM: Both come into this game with smoking hot form. Burnie has won its past three to be only outside the top six on percentage, a phenomenal effort given its personnel loss pre-season. Launceston has now won seven on end, having not lost a game since being belted by Clarence way back in early May.
BURNING QUESTION: Can Burnie end Launceston's impressive winning streak and continue its own charge going? Can Launceston's experience overcome the young Dockers pluck and enthusiasm at West Park?
THE KEY: Launceston has dropped centre half-forward Nathan O'Donoghue for Saturday's clash due to disciplinary reasons. O'Donoghue (36 goals) has formed a lethal partnership with full-forward Brian Finch (58 goals) so O'Donoghue's absence could be telling for the Blues.
WHO WILL WIN AND WHY: West Park is a considerable home ground advantage. Windswept and cold, it offers a very tough welcoming to any visitors. Burnie is up and about, but Launceston is a strong-bodied, experienced side that is used to the trip along the North-West Coast. The loss of O'Donoghue could be covered by Mariners key position player Joe Groenewegen, while the experience of Scott Stephens, Sam O'Keefe, Brian and Adrian Finch and Gene Savage could be too much for the young Dockers to overcome.
TIP: Launceston by 14 points.
