Preview
Launceston are starting to stick out as a challenger to the Premiership this season with the Roos having some issues with some injuries, and were looking a bit wobbly before they took on Glenorchy today but they managed to get over the line. South Launceston traveled down to Hobart to play North Hobart on the ABC last week and they were competitive early, but then the Demons kicked away, injuries struck, even friendly fire when Clinton Drake hit Gardam, and Barrett, Barrett is out with a concussion, and Drake while named was given 2 weeks, so he won't be lining up despite the Northern papers having his name in there.
But what about Launceston? They have some fire power there, Brian Finch has taken over from their fallen forward, and also O'Donoghue has also looked like a decent goal kicker, Gene Savage, and Gary Shipton have both stepped up in the absence of former defender Brennan Savage.
While this is not a massive preview or summary of this game, this looms as another headache for the young Dogs, even though they have seen themselves win some close ones over their TSL travels, they are playing the second placed Blues, and a team that was the toughest team in the NTFL, so it seems that the headaches will be there again. Even next week at home they meet a wounded Magpies outfit, so their season is not looking too healthy right now.
