FORM: Burnie jumped into third thanks to its 68-point win over Devonport at Devonport, after back to back losses. After two wins in three games, South Launceston was pummelled by 105-point by big brother Launceston at Windsor Park.
BURNING QUESTION: Percentage is vital in the race for third spot; can Burnie put the Doggies to the sword and receive that vital percentage boost? Has the Doggies season got one last surge in it and take down the Dockers in what would be a huge upset?
THE KEY: Dockers onballer Darren Banham has been in scintillating form, surging to second in the TSL player of the year award, trailing only Clarence star, former AFL player Cameron Thurley. With Jason Laycock dominating the ruck, Banham has had a field day.
WHO WILL WIN AND WHY? This game is just too important to drop in terms of the finals for Burnie. After the distraction of Russell Robertson's fly-in one-off game last week, it is now down to business for Burnie. Banham, Laycock, Andrew Lee and Luke Shackleton are way too classy for the Bulldogs. The visitors will be heartened by the return of their key Mariners players, including Harrison Medallist John McKenzie, but it is Burnie who will prevail comfortably.
TIP: Burnie by 56 points.
