FORM: Burnie surged back into the winner’s list on the road over South Launceston to be just one week out of the top six. After a seven week winning streak, Devonport returned to earth with a massive thud, courtesy of a thumping by Launceston to lose second spot.
BURNING QUESTION: Is Burnie a real challenger for the last spot in the finals or simply a battler short of the top six? Can Devonport bounce back from last week’s hammering?
THE KEY: Devonport’s defence could be too tight for the young Dockers. The Northern Magpies have the second best defence in the league without much fanfare, while Burnie’s attack is very inexperienced.
WHO WILL WIN AND WHY: Burnie got its season off to a flier with a huge upset win over Devonport at Devonport in round one, but it will not happen this time. The Magpies have been strengthened by the return of former Devils Mathew Smith and Brad McDonald and should cruise to victory.
TIP: Devonport by 38 points
