FORM: North Hobart got back on the winner's list with a comfortable win at West Park after consecutive losses. After three straight losses to Launceston, Devonport and Clarence, Glenorchy's season looked over at quarter time trailing Hobart by 25 points at quarter time and goal-less, but fought back to record a courageous victory and keep its final chances alive.
BURNING QUESTION: Can North Hobart overcome its injury list, led by arguably its best player in Nathan Street, its two ruckmen in Matthew Muir and Tim Peterson and midfielder Travis Brown? Was Glenorchy’s win over Hobart last round merely an aberration or was it an indication it is getting back to somewhere near its best form?
THE KEY: North Hobart and Tasmanian centre half-back Jesse Wells could be the most influential player on the ground. Wells has played forward and kicked multiple goals but could also shut down Southern Magpies key forward Michael Darcy if he gets away from the Demons.
WHO WILL WIN AND WHY: Both teams have had topsy-turvy seasons making selection almost impossible with any certainty. Glenorchy needs a win to push into the top six while North Hobart desperately needs a victory if it is to surge for a top four position. In a flip of the coin, maybe the class of Jaye Bowden and Jon Bowring might just get Glenorchy over the line.
