Sourced: Tasmanian State League
FORM: A win two rounds ago over Hobart was backed up by a belting by Launceston at Aurora Stadium as stringing two performances together continues to allude the Baby Bombers. Clarence was tested by North Launceston last round, but prevailed by 26-points and come out of the state game break unbeaten with a 10-zip record.
BURNING QUESTION: Will it be another tough lesson for the Southern Bombers? How will Clarence cope with the loss of playing-coach and the TSL’s leading goal-kicker in Brett Geappen, who has had to prematurely retire due to a neck injury?
THE KEY: Who will take Geappen’s spot in the goal square now? Will the Roos go big with maybe Brennan Savage or maybe slot star utility Cameron Thurley deep? It might not make a difference to the result against bottom-placed Lauderdale but Clarence will need to get it right for tougher opponents and the finals.
WHO WILL WIN AND WHY: Clarence has simply all the class and experience the Southern Bombers lack and it should lead to a one-sided game.
TIP: Clarence by 68 points
