FORM: Burnie had a chance to stay a game clear in third spot last week but blew it with a five-point loss to North Launceston at Aurora Stadium. The Launceston juggernaut continued on with a 130-point smashing of Devonport at Devonport, retaining its perfect 2011 record of 10 wins from 10 rounds.
BURNING QUESTION: Everyone keeps waiting for the Dockers to explode and push the TSL big boys, will it be this round? Blues full-forward Brian Finch needs 43 goals in eight rounds to reach his century during the home and away season; can he average the 5.4 goals a game needed to get there?
THE KEY: A bit like Glenorchy big recruit Jason Akermanis, former Essendon key position player Andrew Lee has been solid but not spectacular. He has 11 goals in six games with a best haul of four. A big bag today will go a long way to helping the Dockers become the first team to knock off the Blues in 2011.
WHO WILL WIN AND WHY? It is simply impossible to tip against Launceston so far. They have the most potent attack – 149 points more than any other team – and the most miserly defence. Burnie would love nothing more to knock off the Blues but the visitors just have too many big guns to let this one slip.
TIP: Launceston by 29 points.
