Preview

Preview Sourced: AFL Tasmania

FORM: Three consecutive losses have seen Launceston plummet to last place on the TSL ladder. Devonport’s form could not be more contrasting, with six straight wins taking the Northern Magpies to second, and deservedly so.

BURNING QUESTION: With up to four players in the Mariners team, can South Launceston be competitive against the Northern Magpies? Will Devonport eventually be the best team to seriously have a crack at Clarence?

THE KEY: Magpie Brad McDonald returns from a minor hamstring strain, adding vital run to a Devonport side not known for its leg speed. He is a key component to the team with his speed and ability to carry the ball and break the lines.

WHO WILL WIN AND WHY: Devonport should comfortably continue its winning streak going. With the absence of its Mariners players, the young Doggies simply lack the class and experience to take it up to the inform Northern Magpies.

TIP:
Devonport by 54 points
