Robins face uncertain future
March 26th 2010 14:52
The last ditch effort by the Kermandie Football Club to enter the 2010 season has been rejected, a vote was going to be held during the last week but it seems there was no need for the vote and the Robins have been rejected. The club faces yet another year without a league to play in, and now the 123 year old club may disband this time for good. It is also now unclear what Mark Jackson and Wawrick Capper are going to do as well, both signed contracts for the season, and now there being no club may have ended their historic comeback and debuts for the Southern Football League. The seasons fixture will still remain with there being 1 bye each week, and maybe at the end of the season the Robins can try again.
The Robins are not the first SFL club to fall another former Huon Football Association Club Channel faced recess and being defunct as well, but they are now playing in the Old Scholars Football Association, The Saints had reportedly been suffering financial and player shortages and voted to enter the league.
There has been no news on if the Robins are going to try again next season, or try to enter the OSFA, the club are currently coming to terms with not being in the league again despite the efforts of the two former AFL stars that pledged to assist the struggling Tasmanian club.
