Pies stars in doubt

DEVONPORT will sweat on the fitness of two stars in preparation for this weekend's first week of the Tasmanian State League finals.
Defenders Brad McDonald and Brett McCall were injured on Saturday against North Launceston and were unable to return to the field.
McDonald, a rebound defender, could miss this weekend with a hamstring strain while McCall has injured his leg.
Devonport coach Errol Bourn was unable to be contacted for comment yesterday.
Devonport's dream of hosting a Saturday night home final has been granted by AFL Tasmania as the first week finals fixture was announced yesterday..
Action will start at the Devonport Oval at 2pm with the North Launceston and Glenorchy reserves, followed by the Burnie and Launceston under 18s at 4pm.
The main game between Devonport and Glenorchy will begin at 6pm.
North Hobart will host North Launceston during the day at North Hobart Oval, while top side Clarence will host Launceston at Bellerive, which will be broadcast on ABC 1 from 2pm.
"One of the main reasons AFL Tasmania and the clubs agreed to implement a five-week final series this year was to enhance the capacity for each region to host at least one finals match, specifically over the first three weeks of the finals series," AFL Tasmania general manager Scott Wade said.
"The composition of the top six teams this season will definitely mean that all three regions will be hosting finals action in 2010. This coming weekend, the South will host two matches and the North-West Coast one game."
