SUMMARY
Cross town rivals battle again in a game that means a lot to both sides, and it's still only early, for Hobart they can sneak into the top 6 for the first time this season with a win, for the Demon they can keep the Roos insights. The last time they met was back in Round 1 when the Demons smashed the Tigers at the TCA Ground. Hobart last year managed to get the better of the Demons later in the season, it was the Tigers who helped the Demons to a losing end to their 2009 season, after the Tigers the Roos knocked the Demons out of the finals.
Hobart starting their season winless, the Demons started with a few wins, over the last month loses to Clarence and Glenorchy has seen North Hobart go win-loss win-loss, and the Tigers have only lost the once over the last month with a loss to Devonport at the TCA Ground in their last Televised game.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Jessie Wells (North Hobart) – Booted 7 goals last weekend, has become a good part of the North Hobart line up since coming down from Burnie, he can play as a defender, and a forward as well.
Andrew Lemm (Hobart) – The captain booted 4 in their win over South Launceston last week, Howe booted 5 as well, but the captain will be needed this weekend as the Demons are going to be a tough side for the Tiges.
QUESTION MARKS
A late start to this game, can the Demons exercise their Hobart Demons at North Hobart and beat the Tigers, and help keep them in touch with the Roos? Or are the Demons going to again fall short against the Tigers again?
Hobart need another win to get into the six this weekend, provided other results fall their way, can the Tigers pull off a big win this weekend or are the Demons going to keep out their cross city rivals for another week?
WHO WILL WIN AND WHY
North Hobart are looking more likely to be the team that challenge the Roos for the flag, they are looking good, and looking a lot like the team that they did in the 1990s. A side that dominates teams and wins without much of a fuss, thought they did lose to both Glenorchy and Clarence but they have been able to win the rest of their games.
This weekend theyv are playing against cross town rivals at home, and while normally they'd be a certainty to win, Hobart have been on a bit of a roll minus the loss to Devonport the weekend before but being a late game it should see the Demons win this one pretty easily. Ken Hall has been kicking some goals, Robbie Devine is looking in good form, and Jessie Wells can go forward and back as well. Zeke Gardam is starting down back as well this weekend should be interesting to see how he goes alongside Nathan Street down there.
