HOBART'S Jeremy Howe was a one-man highlight reel in the Tigers demolition of Glenorchy on Saturday.

The blond full-forward took several screamers, elevating himself above packs to repeatedly gather the ball to kick six goals.

And he did it when the game was there to be won, booting four goals in the opening term and lifting his teammates who were down on confidence after seven straight losses.

Howe, 20, said it took him a little while to go for his marks in his first year in the TSL after moving up from SFL club Dodges Ferry, especially sharing the forward line with state centre half-forward Michael Cassidy.

"I wasn't so sure as you don't want to be jumping in front of Cassidy but they [the coaching staff] just said, 'It's you and him in the forward line, just have a crack at it and see how you go'," Howe said yesterday.

"That chest mark on the weekend, that was a bit of luck. I just jumped and some poor bloke got underneath me.

"But it gets a bit of a good feeling around the boys and everyone gets a lift out of it."

If taking big marks was not enough to make his standout, Howe has added the blond dye to make sure no one misses him.

"That was a bit of a change the other week and I've definitely copped it from everyone," the fourth-year electrician said.

The 93-point thrashing of Glenorchy was just the tonic for the Tigers, especially with a tough run to the finish line against the TSL's top two sides, Clarence on Sunday followed by Launceston.

"We've all known we can all play well enough to beat good sides, but it has just been putting it all together on the day has been the hard thing. On Saturday we finally did," he said.

"Everyone was on a bit of downer ... now all the boys are just stoked. We haven't been playing too bad."
