Good luck Ben Reid
August 30th 2010 14:25
Sunday's loss sees Glenorchy coach Ben Reid bow out as coach of the club, Ben has been involved with Glenorchy since 1994 and played 259 club games
which includes Player Life Membership and (3) Premierships as Reserves Coach in 2006, 2007 and 2008.
Ben Reid is a member of the Tasmanian Police Force, and was a member of the Police Rescue early on in his career with the Magpies. After meeting and talking with Ben throughout his tenure with the Magpies he has come across always as a great person, always willing to have a chat and even though his later career was spent mainly in the reserves he had a big heart.
Reid also has a young family and with the club on-field structure changing
with the introduction of SFL teams believes he couldn’t commit the time.
I'd like to personally wish Ben Reid all the best with his young family, and in life in general, I cannot speak a bad word about Ben Reid, and wish him and his family all the happiness in the world, and hope to see him around the club in the near future.
All the best Ben!
