Gardam leads the way as Bombers are trounced by Dees

New North Hobart recruit former Docker Zeke Gardam has seen the Demons shrug off the Bombers in a massive second half display winning 18.15.123 to Lauderdale 6.13.49, Gardam managed to slot home 6 goals today while other former Docker Jesse Wells who played the first half as a defender before moving from the backline to the forward after splitting his lip booted 4 and the big aging forward Robbie Devine managed to boot 3 of his own in a very dominant performance by the Demons.
But the Demons did not have it all their own way early, the Bombers were lurking about getting the ball, and applying some very early pressure in the first half, but their kicking was on par with the Collingwood effort last night in the AFL. The game started with an early change, Dell went out for Hardy who according to the ABC made his debut for the Demons, he managed to have a decent game.
Wells was good in defense and in the forward line, a fine utility for the Demons should they need themselves an extra forward, but with the addition of Gardam at Centre Half Forward things are really looking good this season for the Demons,
The Bombers did not kick a goal until Paul Hudson managed a running goal in the second, while they were only about 30 points down at the time you had to believe the Bombers were never going to get back into it and win the game. This has set up an epic encounter in 2 weeks when the Demons clash with the Roos who today demolished the Bulldogs.
