Crouch blow for Pies
August 12th 2010 13:20
Glenorchy head into it's Round 18 game with North Hobart without captain Jesse Crouch who has again suffered a knee injury.
Crouch will miss the remainder of the 2010 TSL season, the news comes just one week ahead of the TSL Finals.
Glenorchy managed to sneak into the finals on the back of their 7 point win over the Bombers last weekend, the good news for the Magpies was that Daniel Muir was playing in their reserves.
Crouch will join Shayne Moles on the injury list, Glenorchy are also missing Jake Cox, and Matthew Dilger. The young Pies might find the goings tough in the 2010 finals.
The Magpies have only beaten 1 side above them this season, that being North Hobart who they have not lost to since their clash in the finals back in 2008.
This weeks games are going to finish off the final places in the five, Clarence and Launceston will finish 1 and 2 this season, and they will battle come week 2 of the finals.
A win for Glenorchy could see them play their first final of the new TSL at KGV Oval, whereas North Hobart will be eyeing off a final possibly at Devonport Oval.
The Northern Magpies need a win this weekend to see themselves gain their first final of the new TSL as well, last season the Magpies were unhappy with the sudden switch of their final against Clarence from North Hobart to Bellerive Oval.
