February 13th 2010 12:38
Clarence will be hosting NFL Premieras Heidelberg this season in a practice match at North Hobart on March 13. The Tasmanian State Premiers are looking to kick of their season with a big test, the Tigers again make the trip to Tasmania and are urging all their fans to head to Tasmania for a big clash. It's premiers vs premiers and a good chance to see how the Roos will go during the season. Glenorchy will be keeping a keen eye on this clash ahead of their round 1 clash on April 3rd it will be interesting to see how the Roos go against the team from the Northern Football League.
There have been no word on other teams playing interstate clubs as yet, North Hobart, Hobart, have had scratch matches playing against each other at regional venues in Tasmania's south ahead of the start of the new season. Clarence will be without new recruit Matthew Geappen the brother of the coach Brett. After having a knee injury last season and then surgery it was expected his career was over as he was going to be gone for two years.
But the surgery was a success and Geappen will be able to resume his career this season he moves to the Roos from North Hobart and once he is back into full fitness will be another dangerous prospect for the Roos.
