PREVIEW
The Coastal rivals Burnie and Devonport battle it out at West Park in what should be another hard fought, bruising encounter. Both sides have suffered mass exodus' in the last two seasons. Last season Burnie had lost players, after making it to the Preliminary Final the year before. Now the Northern Magpies have suffered their own mass exodus in the summer, after making it to their first TSL Grand final since the 1980s. The sides battled it out at West Park in Round 1 last season, a Dockers side that were tipped to finish bottom of the table caused an upside against the Magpies in their last Easter weekend clash.
The Dockers have the wood on the Northern Magpies winning 5 of the last 7 clashes between the two, the last time they met the Magpies got over the line. This season, a young and inexperienced Magpies have not had a good start to the 2011 season. They were belted first by Launceston and then last weekend the Bombers easily accounted for them. The Dockers have had a different start to the season, they held the Roos for 3 Quarters but the reigning Premiers overran them in the end.
Last Sunday the Dockers battled the Bulldogs, and managed to hold them off for a hard fought win, as Rohan Baldock kicked 4 goals for the Dockers last weekend. The Magpies against the Bombers all had single goal kickers, Vice Captain Justin Rodman was named the best on ground for Devonport last weekend, he came to the Magpies with big wraps on him. The Magpies are hoping the forward can have a big impact for them this season.
Jason Laycock has had a fairly decent start to his TSL career, former Magpie turned Docker Sam Whish-Wilson faces his former team for the first time, Jack Templeton was the best for the dockers last weekend and they will hope to see him continue that form this weekend.

PLAYERS TO WATCH
Rohan Baldock (Burnie) Leading goalkicker for the Dockers last weekend, Baldock returned to the Dockers this season from South Australia, the Dockers hope to see more of him this season as they try to become a finals contender.
Justin Rodman (Devonport) The forward and new Devonport vice captain arrived at Devonport from the NTFL, a lot of people have high praise for him, and some have had criticism of him as well. The vice captain will be needed if the Magpies have a chance this weekend.
QUESTION MARKS
The Dockers were made to fight for their win against the Dogs last weekend, will the Dockers be able to lift and continue the bad start for the Magpies and belt them? Or can we see an upset and see the Dockers lose out on their second win for 2011?
The young and inexperienced Devonport side has been belted in both clashes this season, they faced an uncertain future in the Summer and now they are struggling for form, can the new Magpies pull off an unlikely win like the Dockers did last season?
WILL WIN AND WHY
Both sides are in a rebuilding period, having both lost a lot of players from their senior ranks the Dockers however have managed to recruit a couple back and also brought Sam Whish-Wilson across from Devonport. The Dockers should be able to get the points here against a Devonport side that are down on the canvas and not looking like getting up any time soon.
Some would think "How far Burnie?" in this contest, but people thought the same last season when these two clashed in Round 1. In the clash the Dockers walked away with a very close win, they had lost a few players like the Magpies have this season. The Dockers will have to keep themselves awake to that and not take the Magpies easily.
This season Devonport have nothing to lose, they know they are probably going to be belted every weekend, they know they are going to be underrated by everyone. They can fly under the radar, and may just sneak a win here and there throughout season.
However I do not see the Magpies doing it this weekend, the Dockers just have too many there for the Magpies to get even close.
