Burnie Dockers on the march

Burnie Dockers are facing a tough season ahead as players are starting the long walk out of the Burnie Dockers and finding themselves a new home. The Gold Coast confirming they would in fact take Dockers duo Luke Russell & Maverick Weller was the first confirmed list changes for the Dockers. Luke Russell would suffer a concussion in the Dockers mauling at the hands of Glenorchy Shane Piuselli who will be lining up against Russell in the VFL this season at Coburg was the one that put him down in the 2nd Semi Final.
Dockers coach Justin Plapp was the first confirmed out for the Dockers at the close of the TSL season as he decided he hang up the boots after his side crashed out of the finals in straight sets. Plapp had a chance to win the game with a kick after the siren but he missed the goal sending the Dockers crashing out of the finals.
Clinton Brown accepted the position as North Hobart's coach for 2010, he replaces Matthew Geappen who left for the Roos this season. Billy-Jo Jackson is also headed South awaiting clearance by the Dockers. Zeb Graham departed the Dockers for Hobart. Legendary Dockers ruckman Bradley Davis, who once played for the Fitzroy Football Club in the AFL has decided that his career will be ended at South Burnie in the DFA, Davis' dad Graeme once played there Callum Spiller is joining him in the DFA this season, whether he and Davis will be at the same club has yet to be confirmed.
Brendan Blizzard has decided to also leave the Dockers, he will be joining the South Western Football League, and the final confirmed out for the Dockers is Nick Imms who is off to Queensland. With 46 days now until the start of the season there are expected to be a bigger exodus for the Dockers, with there being talks that former Collingwood draftee Luke Shackleon being linked to Wynyard as a coach.
No word yet on who will be replacing the current outs for the Dockers.
